Bel Bailey is an artist living in Devon and Cornwall. She finds inspiration through her deep connection with the sea, having spent many years, during her previous career as a GP, unwinding by playing on the sea on various boats and boards, as well as sea swimming throughout the year. She loves responding with her art, to the ever changing moods of seasons and weather patterns. She loves finding shapes, colours and light of the land, sea and sky to inspire composition in her work. She enjoys using mixed media, but particularly favours oils and oil with cold wax, as well as watercolour with gouache, which she will often finish to a soft sheen with wax. She has enjoyed some fabulous courses at Newlyn School of Art and at The Poly, in Falmouth, as well as other courses in the South Wes continually developing her practice through experimentation and learning.

Original Paintings that have not been sold can be purchased, some are already framed, some not. Prints of certain paintings can also be requested. If you would like to discuss any potential purchase, please contact Bel using the contact form.
